The 14th annual Forssa Silent Film Festival in Finland will pay tribute to ‘Divine Ladies of the Silent Film Era’ this August as they screen the films of Mary Pickford, Gloria Swanson, Louise Brooks and others. The festival kicks off on August 30th with The Poor Little Rich Girl (1917), Mary’s star vehicle written by Frances Marion and directed by Maurice Tourneur, and on August 31st Mary stars in Sparrows, the 1926 classic directed by William Beaudine.
